In every civilized society men and women believe that education is comprehensive, compulsory and necessary for every individual. Education is an important human activity. The very concept if education is like a diamond which appears to be of a different colour when seen from different angles.
Etymological Definition:
The word ‘Education’ had its origin in the Latin word ‘Educatum’, itself composed of two words, ‘E’ and ‘Duco’, means developing and progressing. Hence, in its literal scenario, education means becoming develop or progressing from inside to outside. In other words, education implies some of the change for the better and greater in a person.
Different educational theorists has given different derivations of the concept ‘Education’.
1. According to Forebel, “Education is a process through which child makes its internal external”.
2. According to Eddisoan, “When education works on noble mind it draws out to view every latent virtue and perfection.
3. According to Pestalozzi, “Education is defined as natural, harmonious and progressive development of men’s innate powers”.
4. According to M. K. Gandhi, “I mean an all around drawing out of the best in child and man body, mind and spirit”.
Education is aggregate of all the processes by which a person develops ability, attitudes and behaviour of practical values in the society in which he lives.
Narrow Sense of Education: In large majority of people use the concept of education to mean the training undertaken for some years in some educational institutions. This is the narrow meaning of the concept of education. In other words, it implies education provided according to a fixed curriculum by a particular set of people in a specific place.
Wider Sense of Education: The very betterment of an adjusted pattern of life is the product of that educational system. The very educative system is going on every moment in the life of a person. Here, each day’s activities has an effect upon him. The educant may perceive or not perceive that effect.
Liberal Sense of Education: When the word ‘Education’ is accepted in its more literal meaning it is granted that all the times and places and individuals is imbibing some of its areas. Here, it is not limited merrily to the classroom. It can be obtained all kinds of social organizations, associations, individuals, nature, etc. It is mention may be made that a child gets his education not only from his teacher, but also from the entire environment of his life.
A Sense of Individual Development: Education is the complete development of the individuality of the child. According to some thinkers and philosophers, education is nothing but a process which a child can have free, spontaneous and individual betterment. Basically, the main achievement of ‘education’ lies in ability to arouse interest towards the subject of inspiring him.
As a Product: Education is the product of learning process. It implies growth and development. Education is a process or system through which date, experience, information is achieved of course it is a continuous and comprehensive process of training and guidance.
A bi-polar System: Education of course is a bi-polar system. Here it involves the interplay of the educator and the educant. In this process of education the teacher and the taught are the active participants. So education is nothing but bi-polar process by which the natural spontaneous and progressive betterment of the child is justified.
A tri-polar System: Education is also a tri-polar system. It involves the interaction of the personality of the educator and the educant in a social setting. In other words it effects the modification of the behaviour of the educant.
Education in the West: Educational training like every other branch of knowledge started in the philosophical deliberation of the ancient Greek philosophers. Here, it is mention may be made of Plato’s name. He termed education as a “Life long process starting from the first years of childhood and lasting to the very end of the life”.
Education in India: In Indian approach, it becomes necessary to cover the spiritual area. Here, it is accepted as a part of betterment by education. In other words, Indian philosophers have placed special importance upon this. According to Shankaracharya, “Education is that which leads salvation”. Yajuavalkya said that, only that is education which gives a sterling character to an individual and renders him useful for the world.
A modern developed society cannot survive without education. It is an old as humanity. It helps people adjust to change. Succinctly, it is only education which can help a person understand to all the Social changes and provide the skills and technology for adjusting to them.

Having looked at the public education system of the United States from three viewpoints–student, parent, and teacher, I would have to concede that too often the quote is true.
However, if you can find a way to learn to read, you become responsible and capable of educating yourself.
Sadly, we are now into the second generation of lowest common denominator education. The teachers are now products of the system and all too often simply too dumb to secure any other job. In addition, for the most part administrators and education politicos are in the business of power, influence, money, and prestige. There are precious few among them who give two hoots about whether Susie can read, and none care if Johnny can think. I'm sure that will hit a nerve, but it's the unvarnished truth, and the US had better pay attention.
Frankly, I think the entire public education system of the US is so f****d up that it can't be fixed…at least not without a revolution. The US will lose its status as the leader of the Free World because the populace is no longer sufficiently educated to maintain the top position.

Unlike what Fox News is pushing, the majority of America is not anti-Obama. Many, many people still support him. Given the immense pressure he’s under, and the intense scrutiny from the right-wing idiots, I think he’s doing pretty well. Obama is after all, only President, and neither delegates money flow or creates financial law. Limbaugh and Gingrich expect Obama to overstep his power to pull a miracle out of his ass. They’re too impatient and just want everything NOW without working for it.
What if we would have had that passive frame of mind back when Communism was spreading throughout the world? The Cosmos is drawing us into a confrontation with North Korea and Iran both for a reason, to liberate those poor souls. How can the World ever come together as a collective conscience when our Brothers (yes, our Brothers) are being brutalized by these ruthless dictators? I say we go in and set those people free..and yes, I’d be more than willing to go!!
Here, we make a futile and stupid attempt to educate everybody, whether they want an education or not. In other countries, they value education more, because if you don't pursue it, they stop educating you and you have to take a menial job and suffer. Parents don't want that for their children and they push them. Here, when someone doesn't want an education, we force them to stay in school with compulsory education and we give them the "No Child Left Behind" treatment. We keep their sorry butt in school and let them drag down the whole educational system. The parents don't have to take the responsibility to make their kid rise to challenges. As a result, our school systems and teachers are swamped with trying to produce even mediocre results from a population that has no reason to care or to try. Pick a developed country in the world, and its educational system will be better than ours, because here our lawyers have determined that we have to try to save people from themselves.
Suggestion: Don't even wait for the answer to this short question.
All you need is to be 21 years old and pass a background investigation. You at least need a High School diploma but since you graduate HS at 18(generally) you should spend those 2 years or so getting an A.S. in Justice Administration from a nearby Community College or better yet get a Bachelors or even a graduate degree so that you can be promoted easier. The average pay throughout the USA is $47,000 but in major cities pay is around $54,000 a year. It takes a lot of patience and good judgment to be a police officer. A lot of people aren't going to like you for the fact that you are a Law Enforcement Officer but don't take it personally.

Being a "Golf Professional" isn't necessarily the same as being a "Professional Golfer". Golf Pros generally work within the golf industry as instructors, Golf Course Managers/Director's of Golf etc. Professional Golfers play the game to make a living. To become a Golf Pro you need at the least to have a diploma in golf management from a community college. These courses teach everything from course maintenance to club repairs to running local tournaments to managing a golf course. To be a Professional Golfer you need the skill to play the game at it's highest level.

Your educational IRA money has to come out by age 30 but the 529 plan has no age limit. Also, the educational IRA can be spent on any education ( high school, grade school, etc.) but the 529 plan can only be spend on college. Therefore, if it looks like you have over-funded:
1. Use the educational IRA on high school and grade school expenses.
2. Spend the educational IRA first.
3. If there is any thing left in the 529 plan when your son finishes college, leave it in there. If you end up needing it for your retirement, spend it last. You will pay income tax and a 10% penalty on any earnings in the account that are withdrawn for non-educational purposes at that time. If you don't need it for your retirement, make your son the successor owner and keep it available for a grandchild or other relative.

I have friends who work as interpreters in Europe. They did their undergraduate degrees in the foreign language they want to work with, while taking a few Linguistics courses as their electives. Then, they did Master's degrees in Translating. This isn't my area of interest, and I don't know of any North American universities that offer graduate programs in Translating.
